In Biogas systems high dry matter content liquid suspensions are commonly found. These can prove extremely difficult to agitate and pump around the Biogas plant.

We offer a few products and alternatives to overcome these experienced problems .

The QuickMix

The concept which combines the advantages of known devices, is a completely new innovation. It comprises of two toothed-conveying augers and a rotary lobe pump. Both are combined as a single unit.

With the QuickMix a suspension with an extremely high dry matter content can be mixed and pumped in one step making only one drive unit necessary.

Function:

Using a suitable feeding system, the double auger is fed with solid material (e.g. co-fermenter). At the same time, a liquid (manure slurry -fermentation liquid) is pumped in from the side into the QuickMix. The cutting teeth on the auger blades shred the coarse materials and mixes them with the liquid medium to a homogeneous suspension. By regulating the liquid the dry matter content is individually adjusted.

Next the double auger feeds the suspension into the rotary lobe pump chamber, which then pumps the liquid suspension to the desired location.

BioCut:

The BioCut is a combination of the proven Vogelsang rotary lobe pump and a RotaCut wet shredder, which is designed for the biogas industry, slaughterhouses and abatoirs.

A suspension of energy-rich solids, like maize, grass or rape seed and manure slurry can be homogenised by using this system, thus improving the gas production.

At the same time, stones and metal parts are separated by a heavy object separator, which serves to protect downstream pumps and systems from damage.
The combination of the robust rotary lobe pump and a powerful shredder delivers excellent homogenisation of manure slurry / co-ferment suspensions, while supplying the digester.

In addition, the BioCut serves as the central pumping station for various pumping operations in a Bio-Gas plant.  By using only one unit several storage pits can be emptied and external gas plants may be supplied.
