The Slurrykat Combi-Pak is a unique and efficient package whereby a 6m dribble boom is incorporated and used with the highly successful and popular combi for carrying 600m of layflat hose. It is the only system of its kind whereby one operator can efficiently and effectively transport and use 1200m of hose using a 600m front reeler, 600m combi and a 6 dribble boom all in one compact package with a transport width of 2.5m.

Combi-Pak System
The system is comprised of a 600m combi, 3 point linkage mounted with a 6m dribble bar mounted to the linkage of the combi reel. Reeling and unreeling of the hose can be carried out as normal and the dribble boom can be easily retro-fitted to any Slurrykat combi reeler. The splash plate can still be used if required and slurry can be diverted to either the dribble boom or the splash plate from the tractor seat by means of hydraulic gate valve.

Boom
The boom consists of 27 outlets across the 6m span, each at 225m spacings. Slurry flow is controlled and distributed by a Vogelsang exacut macerator, this gives uniform distribution across the boom and has a unique stone/debris trap for foreign objects.

Using Flow metering, GPS, guidance and field mapping equipment with the Combi-Pak
Before spreading, the slurry is tested on the farm, this takes aprox. 3-6 minutes using a nitrogen test kit, knowing the nitrogen content of the slurry (ie.per 1000 gal), slurry can now be applied through terms of units of nitrogen per acre/hectare as supposed to gallons per acre.

The application rate is very precise when using GPS field mapping and field guidance system with the flow meter, the operator can apply the given application rate precisely without over lapping and applying a “double application” at the end of each boom on the applied area of the previous pass.
