Role Overview
SlurryKat is seeking a professional, organised and approachable receptionist to join our team.
As the first point of contact for many customers, suppliers and visitors, you will play an important role in representing the company while providing a broad range of administrative and operational support across the business.
This is a varied role suited to someone who is adaptable, proactive and comfortable managing a range of responsibilities within a busy working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the main reception area and provide a professional and welcoming first point of contact for visitors.
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls, taking accurate messages where required.
- Respond to general enquiries and direct customers to the appropriate department or team member.
- Manage incoming and outgoing post, deliveries and couriers.
- Provide general administrative support across departments as required.
- Assist with data entry, document preparation, and maintaining accurate company records.
- Support the organisation of meetings, including preparing meeting rooms and arranging refreshments where required.
- Support the processing and distribution of internal documentation and correspondence.
- Assist with customer, supplier and general business administration as required.
- Provide support with basic sales and customer service enquiries, directing more technical queries to the appropriate team.
- Assist with travel, accommodation, and other business arrangements when required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business and provide additional administrative support during busy periods or staff absence.
- Undertake other reasonable duties to support the efficient day-to-day operation of the business.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be:
- Minimum of 1 year experience desirable.
- Professional, friendly and confident when dealing with customers, visitors and colleagues.
- Highly organised with good attention to detail.
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- A clear and confident communicator, both in person and over the telephone.
- Proactive and willing to support different areas of the business when required.
- Able to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a wider team.
- Discreet and professional when handling confidential or sensitive information.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
Previous experience in reception, administration, customer service or a similar role would be beneficial, although training will be provided where required.
