New 24m Dribble Bar with Section Control

When a customer needed to spread on multiple tramlines widths for their agricultural contracting business, our engineering team designed a solution that could do it all, with one single applicator.

24m, 18m, 16m and 15m.

Our already successful, SlurryKat Premium Plus™ 24m dribble bar has now been redesigned by our in house technical design and engineering team, along side CEO and Lead Design Engineer Garth Cairns. These changes have been made to suit the needs of one of our customers who needed to spread slurry on their customers' farms. 

With demanding challenges and increasing needs, this contractor needed a solution that allowed them to spread on various tramline widths from 24m, 18m, 16m and 15m, whilst keeping costings low, efficiency high, and the operator as well as the receiving customer happy.

This new design feature on the 24m applicator includes flow control valves in each of the 40mm delivery hose outlets. With a simple tap of a button from the operator inside the tractor cab, via the ISOBUS screen, valves can be closed and opened, controlling the flow of slurry as it passes along the boom.

CEO Garth had to say, "This system is full ISOBUS control along with the flow monitoring system and is completely customisable from the screen in the tractor cab and it allows full control of the system. So not only can we reduce down at the press of a button from 24m to 18m to 16m to 15m across the whole width of the machine, this can be done on one side only for allowing corner turns, headland turns or where there's overlap, allowing complete control of the slurry while it's being applied on the crop."
