Carrying 2,000m of 8-inch hose is one thing. Making that capacity easy for the operator to manage is where the engineering matters.

This SlurryKat trailed reeler combines a high-speed braked axle, steering drawbar and 560/60 R22.5 flotation tyres to provide manoeuvrability in tight spaces while maintaining a small footprint and reducing ground compaction.

The steering drawbar can be controlled directly from the tractor cab or from the rear of the machine, while an OMS 400 bidirectional motor and twin roller system provide controlled, neat hose handling. Rear-mounted controls give the operator clear visibility of the hose while rolling on and off.

Built from high-tensile S355 steel, with galvanised mudguards, SlurryKat LED road lighting and a high-gloss 2-pack acrylic paint finish, it's engineered for the demands of the job – right down to the 3-tonne manually operated jacking leg for easier hitching.
